Ask any person what matters most in life and the answer will invariably be one of Love. We all know that at the end of our journey, what we will be remembered for, what will be our lasting legacy is how we were able to impact the lives of others, supporting them and serving as an example that made their lives better. Ways that we contributed to the common good.
This universal striving towards living a meaningful life must come from within our very design. It is the within our DNA, the purpose of our existence. It is a force that compels us forward in realizing our greatest potential, our highest Ideals. These Ideals of Love have been captured by the great teachers of Love. They are evident throughout all of history. They are in our Ideals In our constitution, our wedding vows, our affirmations.
This place within goes by many names, but the one that tops them all is name Heart. Our Heart speaks to us as our Ideals of Love. It is the supreme authority for guiding us in fulfilling our purpose. Our Heart is the sacred space of Love, and was not designed to be violated and broken. We grow our Heart in our becoming of Love, ever expanding the unique expression of Love that we are, to infinity and beyond!.
Some would argue that this is mere fantasy, that the world is a vicious place, not one of Heart, that many people do live this way. My answer to them is that it is not because this reality of Heart is not there, it is because they are not connected to it.
How do we all come into a deep experience of knowingness of our Heart? The surest way is to contemplate our Love for another, imagining our hopes and wishes for that persons life. This simple ‘Blessings Exercise’ reveals our shared Ideals of Love, accessed by putting our thoughts on another. This is an extraordinary awareness, showing us a core principle. We can even give it a name; instead of the golden rule, this shall be the platinum rule: ‘do unto others as you would do unto someone you love’.
By living from the Heart, we see everyone from through the eyes of Love. We recognize our interconnectedness in Heart, that we are all unique yet originate from the same design and purpose of Love. That we share in One Heart.
We also understand that we alone are ultimately responsible for growing the capacity for Love, growing our Heart. We along are responsible for the person we become in this journey of life, through expressing and growing our Heart, and are therefore the masters of our own morality, our own capacity to choose Love. an a passing inspiration, one that can fade when things get tough, our can we come to believe it with absolute certainty, beyond all doubt? Can our knowing of Love be grounded in our beliefs of Love? This leads us to our next cause- Integrity.
When we examine the Ideals of Love we captured from the Blessings Exercise, we recognize that they involve all relationships in all stages of life. We recognize that all relationships are interconnected, they are integrated. As such, our Ideals of Love are a system of integration, they are the purpose that all people and all things have in common, our shared, unifying purpose. Only by recognizing this integration are we able to fulfill them in our lives, relationships and the world.
As the light of integration shines on our lives, it exposes the ignorance and confusion of being separated from this knowledge, which results in the reality that is dis-integrated. We realize that we do not want to live a life nor live in a world of disintegration, which is akin to the body having a sickness. We are compelled to make the changes in our life, our relationships and for all of humanity. This shall be a disruption, there is no way around it. Acknowledging that this shift of consciousness towards the world of Love will bring disruption is the third cause of the Ideals of Love Movement- Revolution.
